WHO CAN APPLY?

Those who fulfill the following requirements are eligible to apply:

  • Open to citizens of all countries (except Israel)
  • Eligibility by age category:

  • The applicant must own a residential house in Sarawak with a price value of at least RM600,000.00.
  • Applicants have children (under 21 years) in Sarawak (for those who already have a student pass only).
  • OR undergoing long-term medical treatment in Sarawak and certified by a Private/Government Physician registered with the Malaysian Medical Council.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. All applicants must submit the required documents to the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Sarawak.

2. All applicants must be bonded by a Sponsor who originated from and currently staying in Sarawak or by an S-MM2H Licensed agent that is registered in Sarawak.

3. All applicants are expected to be financially capable of supporting themselves during the participation in this program.

Important Notes

All copies must be certified by Embassy/ High Commission/ Lawyer/Notary Public/ Commissioner of Oaths/ Government Officer (Immigration Department).
In the case of original documents are not in English, translation must be done by qualified translator. Translator certification/ license must be submitted together with the application.
Medical Report can be carried out at any registered medical facilities within Sarawak and MUST be endorsed by Government Doctors. For submission of Medical Report done at overseas, applicant must redo the medical checkup at Sarawak endorsed by Sarawak Government Doctor before allowed to claim the S-MM2H sticker.
LoGC must less than 6 months from the date of submission. In the case of the original LoGC not in English, translation must be done by qualified translator LoGC are required for main applicant and dependent(s) LoGC.
Copy of previous passport is required if applicant has renewed his/her passport in less than one year.


Terms and Conditions for Successful Application



Application for Renewal

The applicant who wishes to renew the Multiple Entry Visa (MEV), he/she MUST submit the following documents to the Immigration Department of Sarawak for consideration:

All applicants who wish to continue the programme for the second 10-year should submit their application to the Immigration Department of Malaysia, Sarawak as NEW APPLICATION.

NEW APPLICATION should be submitted 6 months before the pass expiry.

House Purchase

An approved participant is allowed to purchase a residential house in Sarawak at a minimum price of RM600,000.00 per unit for Kuching and RM500,000.00 per unit for other divisions.

Children’s Education

Applicants are allowed to bring their children who are under 21 years old and not married as their dependents under S-MM2H programme.

Children who intend to continue their schooling in Sarawak are required to apply for a Student Pass and should be insured throughout their stay under this programme.

Requirement on Work/Investment

Requirement on Work / Investment allowed under S-MM2H will be based on the Pekeliling Imigresen Malaysia Bil. 01 Tahun 2022 Dasar Baharu Program Malaysia Rumah KeduaKu (MM2H) which states for participants under the age category 50 years old and above, they are allowed to work under the following categories:

Applications must be made through MTCP to the approval committee under State Secretary.

Other Important Requirements

30 Days Minimum Stay Requirement

All approved participants are required to stay at least 30 days every year in Sarawak as one of the conditions for consideration of extension and renewal of S-MM2H programme.

Withdrawal of Fixed Deposit

Participants could make partial withdrawal of their Fixed Deposit (maximum 40% of the Fixed Deposit amount) from the second year onwards based on one of the following reasons:

Application for Termination of Programme

All participants who wish to terminate their S-MM2H Programme should terminate their pass at the Immigration Department of Malaysia, Sarawak. The following are the required documents for termination from S-MM2H programme:

Participants then need to submit the following documents to the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak for withdrawal of Fixed Deposit:

Additional requirements for aged below 50:

For aged 40-49 years old-Either investment in property (RM600,000 in Kuching, RM500,000 in other areas) OR have children enrolled in an educational institution in Sarawak. For aged 30-39 years old-Must have children enrolled in an educational institution in Sarawak.

Important points to consider:

  • If outside MALAYSIA, only apply under income only category.
  • Ten (10) Years Renewable.
  • Minimum 30 days stay per year in SARAWAK by main applicant spouse but can stay anywhere in MALAYSIA.
  • Approval may take between 4-6 Months.
  • Medical Insurance done before submission if in SARAWAK.
  • VISA fee at RM500 per person year.
  • No Government processing fees.
